Ashlar Studio keeps this simple: our website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and tracks nothing. The only personal information we hold is what you choose to send us when you get in touch.
Who we are
Ashlar Studio is a design and development studio based in Québec, QC, Canada. For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact us at hello@ashlar.studio. This inbox also reaches the person responsible for the protection of personal information.
What we collect
Nothing is collected automatically beyond the standard server logs our hosting provider keeps to run and secure the site (including IP addresses). We only receive personal information, such as your name, email address and the details of your message, when you email us or book a call with us.
No tracking
We use no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or social media trackers and no third party embeds that profile you. There is nothing to consent to, so we show no cookie banner.
Why we use it
We use the information you send only to reply to you, discuss your project and provide our services, including any steps needed to start working together. We don't use it for anything else.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information or share it for marketing. A few service providers process it on our behalf: Vercel hosts the website (and keeps the server logs above) and Cal.com powers our booking link if you choose to schedule a call. These providers may process data outside Québec and the EU, under their own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your messages only as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting engagement, then delete them. You can ask us to erase your information sooner at any time.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ashlar.studio and we'll respond promptly, and within any timeframe your local law requires.
Changes
We may update this policy as the studio grows or the site changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
